It’s the last day of Europe’s largest interior design fair, Maison & Objet in Paris. It has been my dream for many years that Valona takes part. Our Emilia Timperi and Timo Utter are doing great work and taking care of Valona in Paris.
Sirpa from Viiva Visuals did a beautiful job designing the tables, shelves and the visual look of our booth following Valona’s style and my wishes.
My dad Matti Mäntylä designed how to actually build all the tables and shelves so that they could easily be transported to Paris and put up quickly (great job, so lucky to have that kind of dad).
I also want to mention the photographers who have been taking the photos visible at our booth. Juha Karola, Liivia Pallas and Markus Kiili have been behind the camera, and the gracious model Janina Koski delights in many of the photos.
In addition, our laser cutters have cut the jewellery stands, logos and texts. Also four different printing companies have printed paper brochures and pictures on plywood.
Our very own team has been very involved with every aspect behind the fair. Elissa Shaw has been working with marketing material – we got our new design Mini Himmeli to the curated exchibition of the Fair thanks to Elissa’s writing. Markus Vihottula helped with all possible paper-work and contacting, and was in general a big support as usual. Emilia is really my right hand when it comes to giving opinions on new designs, making protos, taking care of shipping with me and even painting the tables for the booth. A special thanks to her flexibility so we got everything ready just in time. What a great thing to have creative, gifted and passionate people around!
